Yeah, as you can tell, there’s not been a whole lotta posting on the blog. I’m trying to figure out what to do with it. I honestly haven’t cared much to post on it, so I haven’t Not too much been going on that’s exciting, I guess. You might have come here since you got a Christmas card in the mail, and you noticed the website listed. Sorry to disappoint.
Currently, I’m working to finish transferring and editing home movie footage for some parents of a good friend. I’ve worked on a few transfers for other people, and so far they seem pleased. It would probably boost business to have a website dedicated to that, so if you have suggestions, I’m all ears!
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season, Christmas, Hanukkah, etc… =)
….Wow, it’s been a while since I’ve posted. And I don’t have much to add. I’ve been up all night working on John & Rebecca’s wedding video transfer/edit to DVD….just have to compress to MPEG-2, burn the disc and deliver. I think they’re gonna love it. The theme is killer – nice brown/gold tones with automatic sepia conversions for images in the menus, and a subtle but fluid and pleasing transition. Praise be to Apple and DVD Studio Pro! Before this video, I was working 8-16 hour days for the last 6 weeks on my Aunt Yvonne and Uncle Randall’s home videos – about 29 hours worth of tape. Yes, it shouldn’t have taken me that long, but this was my first big project, thus a learning curve. It delivered on Wednesday, and I feel pretty confident they will get a lot of enjoyment out of it. My favorite part is the 2 highlight reels of Kelsey and Jared from all of the basketball videos that Randall shot when they grew up….4 hours of footage compressed into 3 minutes each with a up-tempo music track behind it.
Anyone else have videos to preserve? Call me up and let’s get it done.
Oh yeah, Facebook distracted me a bit from the blog, I must confess. =)
